Six Trait Posters

These six trait posters were designed after seeing Vicki Spandel at two workshops and reading her books Creating Writers and Seeing With New Eyes. She suggests to introduce the traits one at a time. I would put up each poster as I introduced each trait. Read lots of stories that demonstrate the traits and show students examples of writing that includes strong and weak use of the traits.
